As a young girl in a Catholic church, we walked the stations of the cross and every time I would get to the crucifixion, I would sob with sorrow for what Jesus suffered. And this song was birthed out of the gratitude I feel for what this Savior did for me, and for all of us, so that we can have eternal life:)
